Introduction

Paranation are delighted to bring you an evening of paranormal investigation at one of the most active prisons - Arundel Jailhouse.

Located at the end of a hidden passage away from the hustle and bustle of the High Street the Jailhouse is Arundel's best kept secret. Passing through the iron cell gate and into the lobby guests get a feel for what it would be like to enter a real Georgian/Victorian prison.

History

Built in 1836 the Arundel Town Hall Prison was used to house inmates who had been convicted upstairs in the court rooms. Home to many resident ghosts, Arundel Jailhouse is a hotbed of paranormal activity.

Activity

• Disembodied screams of inmates
• Cold spots
• Jail doors slamming shut
• Footsteps can be heard walking down the corridor
• Strange lights
• Shadows
• Knocking

Join us if you're brave enough!! A truly intriguing and eerie location!!

Event Plan

The evening will begin with an introductory talk. We will then hold short demonstrations on how to use our equipment, which will be yours to use throughout the evening. (No one will be expected to use equipment against their will, we respect the wishes of others).

We will then proceed with a lit walk around the location.

After gathering our large range of equipment, we will investigate for ghostly activity.

Paranormal experiments will be set up and carried out in various parts of the location.

We can divide into groups for night vigils, and the very brave are welcome to explore in smaller groups!!

Regular comfort breaks will be taken which will give the groups an opportunity to discuss any paranormal activity found.

Where To Meet

We will be inside the location, a guide will be at the door to welcome you.

We are located at the top of the High Street (up the hill). If you walk up on the left hand side you will see The Town House and China Palace restaurant. We are located down Duke's Path which is located between these two fine establishments. You won't miss the signs!

Feel free to bring any equipment you wish, such as voice recorders, camcorders, cameras, or anything you feel would help you with the investigation. Any personal belongings are brought entirely at your own risk. We encourage our guests to carry out their own experiments if they wish.
